Tip 176 – Neaten Up your Screen and Printouts by Hiding Excel Gridlines

When you have a neatly formatted Excel worksheet, you may prefer to hide the gridlines from view. To do this, choose the View tab and in the Show options uncheck Gridlines. To enable or disable the grid on printed versions of the worksheet, choose File > Print. Select Page Setup > Sheet tab and the Gridlines option here controls printable gridlines.
