Tip 205 – Create Events and Event Reminders in Outlook

Use Outlook events as reminders for anything that falls on a day rather than a specific time such as Birthdays, Tradeshows, Seminars and Vacations. To create an event in the Calendar choose New Items > All Day Event and type the event details and select the date. The reminder for an event defaults to 18 hours so, to change this, select another time from the Reminder list on the Event tab of the Ribbon. Click Save & Close to finish creating the event.
