Tip 193 – Easily Configure Columns to Begin Below a Document Title in Word

You can easily format a document so its title is the full page width and the content below is divided into two columns. To do this, place your insertion point below the title at the beginning of the first line of the actual content. Click the Page Layout tab and click Columns > More Columns. Click Two to create a two column layout and set the Apply To: setting to This Point Forward. When you click Ok the content will be arranged in the columns automatically for you.
