Tip 232 – Easily Select Non-Adjacent Ranges in Excel Using the Keyboard

To select non-adjacent ranges using the keyboard, click in the first cell of the first range. Tap the F8 key and use the arrow keys to select the first range. Press Shift + F8 to turn off Extended Mode and arrow to the beginning of the next range. Press F8 and then use the arrow keys to select the second range. Press Shift + F8 to disable Extended Mode. Now you can select non-adjacent ranges to format them or create a chart.
